Is Makar Sankranti an auspicious day?

In my understanding there are many things related to auspiciousness of this day. I shall try to narrate one of the aspect through a poetic form specially written for this day to share.

Makar Sankranti:

Poetic expression

Stealing a block of space & time by mankind out of the infinite existence

An occasion to celebrate a day, when human Mind stolen a minuscule part of infinite blue space and a slice of time to express its ownership

It really fascinates me to go deep into that infinite blue space and touch, feel and sense the origination of all these

In that infinite blue sky and space, with thousands of planets and galaxies and with possibly thousands of Suns, Nakshatras and planets, someone found some relevance for us

This finding & creation of relevance in one activity out of millions of such activities happening every moment in that infinite space is something mesmerizing for me even to imagine

Out of all this infinite matrix, when our Sun in its journey enters a particular space in that space at a particular time, we as human being celebrate this occasion.

A celebration with so many names and activities that brings happiness

A celebration that brings love, joy and well being

A celebration that indicates beginning of many things affecting out social and emotional needs

On this auspicious day

My salute to that noble soul who could find some relevance for mankind in that infinite space and taken out a part of that infinite space and preserved for mankind’s celebrations

as a tradition and part of culture

This belief and culture in some sense also indicates the firing aspirations of mankind to become and remain a small part in the space which is owned by beautiful collective mind of humanity representing this earth and mankind

expressing possibilities of future Gods to own that entire infinite on some fine day…….

as we also celebrate ancientness of this occasion

Happy Makar Sankranti !!!
